April Night Sky

If you want a visual guide to the sky for April you should check out the Hubble site.  It gives a short movie showing what can be seen

Moon View

Noticed the crescent Moon before the clouds spoilt play. It reminded me of the Cheshire Cat’s grin from Alice in Wonderland … strange thought really, but there you are.

Updates

Just updated what can be seen next month.  Still working on the page about the Sun.  Seem to spend more time typing then deleting at the moment.  Ah well, I’ll get there eventually.

The Sun

A fairly quiet Sun

A fairly quiet Sun

Just starting work on a page about the Sun.  There’s so much info I’m not sure where to start.  The Sun is in the quiet part of it’s 11 year cycle making it less risky to work on the space station.

Worm Moon

Did you know that tonights full Moon is called the Worm Moon?  It’s the full Moon before the spring equinox and with the spring come the worms.

I’m not sure anyone told the weather that it should be spring like though.
